The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has denied exemption permissions for 31 films scheduled to be screened at the 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram. The Kerala State Film Academy had submitted a list of 347 films without censor certificates, out of which 31 entries including a Malayalam film were denied screening clearance.
